Therapy and psychological services vary greatly depending on what the psychologist and the people they work with bring to the therapy setting. I employ an individualised approach, balancing my knowledge of research and validated treatments with your personal experiences, to work collaboratively towards your therapy goals.
Psychology appointments, or sessions, usually occur once every week or fortnight. Each session is 50 minutes.
The first time we meet involves collection of information and evaluation of your needs. This will then inform treatment.
The length of therapy depends on individual goals and the severity of the difficulties being experienced. I will discuss with you my plan for therapy and the expected length of treatment.
Therapy can be both challenging and rewarding. In order to reach your therapy goals, there may be times where you will experience uncomfortable and/or painful emotions.
To get the most out of therapy, you will need a willingness to work on therapy goals during sessions and in-between sessions.
Fees:
The fee is $220.00 (including GST) per 50-minute session.
